Are you cleaning everywhere?

Nasty germs don’t just live in public spaces.

Actually, you are more likely to catch the flu from innocent things in your home like your smartphone, or keyboard or fridge door than you are from visiting a public restroom. Knowing this, a lot of people are rushing to stock up on household cleaners and using them religiously to avoid sickness and infection. It seems sensible, right? Well, kind of…

Here’s the catch: are we ever sure that these disinfectant cleaners are risk-free?

A better, and safe way to clean your home

Yes, there is and this way is called “Uvlizer”

To try and answer this, we analyzed 10 popular household cleaners ranging from toilet cleaners to dish soap to see what harmful ingredients they contain and what risks they might represent to our health and the results were astonishing. 100% of them contained either carcinogenic compounds, hormones disruptors or respiratory irritants.

Exactly… Not the kind of things you want in your close environment...

A UVC radiation is a known disinfectant for air, water, and nonporous surfaces. UVC radiation has effectively been used for decades to reduce the spread of bacteria, such as tuberculosis. For this reason, UVC lamps are often called "germicidal" lamps.

"Historically, it's been homeless shelters and medical centers," said Daniel Jones, president of UV Resources of Santa Clarita, Calif, a manufacturer of the fixtures used by the airport.

Sales are up tenfold in the past month. "The demand is though the roof," he said.

With a good UV light sanitizing device, you can clean surfaces like desktops and door handles, sinks and toilets, or those items that are always with you, like your phone.

And by the way? You should really clean your phone from time to time. According to multiple studies, our phones are about the dirtiest objects in our lives, harboring on average nearly 20,000 distinct types of bacteria.

FAQs

Can it disinfect a 250 sq ft area?

One study called ‘Surface Disinfection by Exposure to UV Light’ in the Indian Journal of Medical Microbiology showed that UV light at the same wavelength and power as Uvlizer ‘has efficient inactivation of bacteria up to a distance of 8 feet, and an exposure time of 30 minutes is adequate.’

A distance of 8 feet on each side of Uvlizer means an area 16 feet across. 16 feet x 16 feet = 256 square feet. So, Uvlizer can disinfect around 250 square feet in 30 minutes.

How does it work? Does it really kill germs and pathogens?

UV-C disinfection has been used in hospitals and airlines for decades. And there are several scientific studies proving UV-C light kills almost all kinds of germs, including the CDC and EPA.
